May 1st was a spectacular day. It was filled with study and prayer, visiting and driving a tractor with my daughter on my knee. We drove an Oliver 1550 and pulled a 10 foot disc over about 3 acres of ground. It was a short yet grand experience.
Today I'll officiate at a wedding, the first I've done since Aravis was born. Going through the rehearsal last night I found myself thinking differently; I'm not sure if I'll be able to give her away. It looks and sounds like such a small insignificant piece in the wedding liturgy, until you're the father of a daughter.
