Accomplishment

Some days I don't sense that I've made much progress. Even if in the long run I do, there are days that I feel like I can't get out of first gear. I have the same feeling almost every morning when I run. I begin slowly, going up Asbury Drive my breathing is labored and I wonder if I'll make it to the top of the hill. I do, turn the corner down the slope, then face the hill. Once I get up over the worst hill in Wilmore, I'm ready to run. It's all within a quarter mile of the house. Run the first quarter and I'm set for a lot more. That's the way it is with other things too - just dig in for the first few minutes, then before you know it you've gone farther than you thought you could.

Anyway today I completed a task that's been on my list of things to do for a couple of months.

It's time to go home and mow the grass.
