Reading women

Over the past few months I've been doing some walking and reading in the gym at our churches Family Life Center. There is plenty of space to walk and read so that you don't run into walls.
Something I've noticed is a difference between men and women writers. I suppose this is just at an observational stage, but I think women tend to be more to the point and less interested in proving their point. That's not to say that they don't make their case, but they don't seem driven to back up their thoughts or claims with a thousand quotes. The women writers tend to write with degree of certainty that men writers belive they lack and yet hope to attain through the citing of many sources. I've found it liberating to read and profoundly more enjoyable.
